CLASSIC

Was shown this video showcasing the true beauty of the Air Force One quite a while ago now, but is still a favourite so have decided to post it before I forget about it. The film simply documents the procedure undertaken to create this timeless, classic shoe. The video is set in an Italian ‘shoe craftsmans’ workshop.

The use of innovative camera angles and detail driven camera shots, really keep you intrigued when watching this piece. It captures the artistic and creative process involved with creating a shoe. If you feel like I do about the Air Force One it’s the minor details the smell, the feel of the shoe which makes it unique to the rest, the kind of senses which this film captures and documents perfectly.

Politics As Usual

Really nice graphic design and illustration from Shepard Fairey aka 'Obey Giant'. Ive been a fan of alot of his work from reading 'Lo down' mags and was delighted upon finding these fly campaign posters produced in support of Barrack Obama.. Im not a huge fan of politics but found Faireys motivation for these pieces rather inspiring.

About his motivation, he says the following: “I believe with great conviction that Barack Obama should be the next President. I have been paying close attention to him since the Democratic convention in 2004. I feel that he is more a statesman than a politician. He was against the war when it was an unpopular position (and Hillary was for the war at that time), Obama is for energy and environmental conservation. He is for healthcare reform.

I've begun working on a video promo for my good friend Ben Powell. I studied with BP- as i know him, at MMU for 3 years and he's always had a passion for drumming.

The idea of the promo is to promote Ben's talents to any prospective bands who might be looking for a drummer before they make it big...

watch this space for more feeds on this.
