Modern Day Peeps

I cannot settle on a title for this project, Il probably name it project X or some shit like that.. but as ive explained previous this is an idea that will mean something when finished.

The collages are coming thick and fast. Some of these are animating nicely. Not had a lot of sleep lately but i feel inspired after a brief encounter with Mainframe . I have a project with umbro starting tomorrow over at LOVE , (wow im name dropping a lot) and i have a music promo opportunity which i need to get rolling with. As well as this my summer reel for 2009 will be online very soon.

here's a clip from a recent stop motion animation i created for an IHG Events conference last month. The process required me to sacrifice a Sunday afternoon (which would have consisted of nothingness) and im glad i did as the results of this experiment where pleasing. Any chance to ditch photoshop and created things by hand always excites me and in alot of cases feels more rewarding.

These pieces evolved from a personal project I've been retouching over the past couple of weeks. When i last moved flat the process of shifting design magazines and books which i hadnt looked at in a while was quite annoying so i decided to utilize this 'resource material' and create pieces of 'art' out of them.. heres a couple of pieces.. hold tight for a couple more uploads soon.

Every now and again i stumble across a photographers work that really humbles me.

to be honest it happens alot and i had that experience again today when i found lou mora's website.

He has some amazing portrait shots and he contrasts the shots beautifully in their compositions.

recently Ive been creating visuals for in house presentations encapsulating the buzz and potential that MECH hopes will be provided from the new Metro office in the Northern Quarter.

very good video produced and directed by digital sneakers who are new to me but i have them bookmarked now!!

This is the way this artist and other urban uk artists should be portrayed and shown in their videos. I dont imagine it was a huge budget but the guys behind the camera knew what they where doin and the finished piece looks slick, well thought out and it oozes uk swagger.

tough thing to pull off but now the scene has something to aim for and better.
